It sounded too good to be true - Alicia Silverstone was going to take it all off in order to support PETA by advertising her vegetarian ways. However, after the 30-second commercial was filmed and ready to air in Texas, Comcast Cable yanked the ad off the air.

The commercial was set to feature Alicia Silverstone as she came out of a pool, removed all of her clothing and began to discuss the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle. PETA said that they chose to run their ads in Houston, Texas, because the city ranks high on the list of poor eating habits and percent of obese people.

However, Comcast decided that it wouldn't air the commercials, despite the fact PETA had already paid for the air time. A spokesperson for Comcast announced that they decided the nudity in the advertisement was not suitable for airing on their broadcast, and as such, put an end to the ad's airtime just hours before the commercial was first set to be beamed into viewers' homes.

Houston residents who are curious about the nude Alicia Silverstone and her promotion of vegetarianism are still able to view the ads on PETA's official Web site, PETA.org. People magazine quoted PETA president Ingrid Newkirk, who said in a statement, ""[Viewers can] get an eyeful, not only of the stunning Ms. Silverstone, but also of our free Vegetarian Starter Kit - chock full of delicious recipes - that will make them drool for an entirely different reason."
